I recently discovered this awesome HTML template by www.TheLCARS.com and I have to play around with it.
Zoom out to see features for ultrawide screens.

Buttons
These round buttons came with the template:
I added a custom class for rectangular buttons:
Also added a left pill and a right pill button:
Other stuff
- Integrated NASA API to get Astronomy Picture of the Day.
- Integrated WTTR API to get weather at user location. Used in widescreen sidebar.
- Colors have more meaning now. Check guidelines.
- Added CSS rules to make <em> red and <strong> gold.
- Added current system time and date to top left elbow element (hidden on small screens).
- Added random number generator. Creates a number up to 4 digits. Used in the footer.
- Main sidebar ("left-frame") is now almond #ffaa99
- column-2 is hidden (for now). Too much clutter on Widescreen displays.
- Integrated forkawesome.me just for the vulcan salute:
- Added CSS rule to make <del> strikethrough red to distinguish it from <s>.
I am deleted.
- Declutter everything. Currently there are
too manystill some elements that don't do anything.
Colors
- Structural elements are bluey #7788ff or almond #ffaa99.
- Standard buttons and text are african-violet #cc88ff.
- More important things are gold #ffaa00.
- The most important stuff is red #dd4444.
- If necessary mars #ff2200 can be used for very critical information. Use sparingly if at all!
